Vaginal Dryness

Yes! We said it! It is a very common symptom us women face during breastfeeding or during the Perimenoupause stage.


We are here to help you.. here are 5 ways for you to overcome your vaginal dryness.


Decrease in Estrogen levels is one of the main reasons for vaginal dryness. One of the functions of estrogen is to keep your vaginal muscles moist , flexible and supple. During lactation and menoupause the estrogen levels drops which can cause the vaginal muscles to become dry , thin and stiff.


When Estrogen levels diminish, your vaginal tissues may lose lubrication and elasticity, making intercourse painful. Low estrogen may also leave you more vulnerable to urinary or vaginal infections. Loss of tissue tone may contribute to urinary incontinence.



Tip #1 - Phytoestrogens


Phytoestrogens are molecules that occur naturally in plants and are similar to . Eating a good plant based meal can help you get phytoestrogens from your diet.



Tip #2 - Herbs

Estrogen creams are used typically during menopause, they do come with a few side effects though.

Using any vaginal wash , wipes or sprays which contain colouring and fragrances can irritate and aggravate the dry tissues.

Low Estrogen can cause pelvic floor dysfuntions and it can go the other way around aswell. Dysfuntions including urinary urgency, frequency, lower urinary tract pain, urgency urinary incontinence and avoiding dysfunction can be symptoms of low Estrogen.
